I loved this quote that I learned years ago but had mistakenly attributed it to Mother Teresa. It is actually was from the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore.
I slept and dreamt that life is joy.
I awoke and saw that life is duty.
I acted and behold, duty is joy.
