Sunny Day
Good night to the day of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Within its twenty-four hours, June 21 has more daylight hours than any day of the year, at least here in the southern US of the Northern Hemisphere. It's great if you are a kid and your mother lets you stay out to catch lightning bugs, but bad if she makes you go to bed before dark. It's good if you are an early riser and don't mind the bright sun shining in your bedroom window but bad if you aren't ready to take on the day. But it won't last for long. Tomorrow starts the slow swing back to the shortest day six months from now. And then...
